AsBo Inspection Unit

INFRACERT TSI is a Polish Inspection Body accredited by the Polish Center for Accreditation No. AK 034 . We are fully authorized to carry out inspection processes in the area of all structural subsystems: "rolling stock", "control-command and control - on-board equipment", "control-command - trackside equipment", "infrastructure", "energy" and functional ones: "railway traffic", "maintenance" and "Telematics Applications". We operate on the basis of implemented internal procedures, in accordance with the requirements of normative documents, including: PN-EN ISO / IEC 17020 - requirements for the operation of various types of units carrying out inspections and Regulation No. 402/2013 on the Valuation and Risk Assessment in Rail Transport.

Our Assessment Body is listed in ERADIS (European Railaway Agency Database of Interoperability and Safety) under the EIN number PL/35/0124/0006.

At the request of Polish and European clients, our Unit prepares reports on the adequacy of the application of the Common Safety Assessment Method for risk assessment and evaluation.

Our AsBo experts have extensive experience in drawing up Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) of Safety Cases. The Independent Safety Assessment provides objective and unambiguous information on whether a project or subsystem meets the safety requirements as defined in the European railway standards: EN 50126, EN50128, EN 50129.

News

Infracert TSI Railway Safety Office staff are today (11th June 2025) attending a hybrid meeting of the Group of Inspection Bodies (AsBo). The meeting will discuss a common framework for Bodies, clarifying the accreditation and authorisation requirements for Inspection Bodies. The activities of the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) aim to provide European railway stakeholders with the detailed requirements for the application of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 on a common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment (‘CSM RA’).

AsBo Meeting

Infracert TSI sp. z o.o. signed AsBo Memorandum of Understanding Infracert TSI sp. z o.o. accredited Independent Assessment Body/Inspection Body (AsBo) No AK 034 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) on a voluntary implementation of Recommendations for Use applicable to AsBos. A harmonised approach by individual bodies enhances safety on the railways. The purpose of this document is to foster the voluntary implementation of all published AsBo RFUs by all members of the AsBo Cooperation Group, which we are a member of, in the absence of a strong legal basis in the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 on the common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment (CSM RA) regarding a mandatory use of those AsBo-RFUs.

Memorandum

Since October 2020, our company has been accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation to carry out inspection activities in the scope of ICSM - inspections of suitability of the common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment. Our AsBo inspection unit will allow you to conduct an independent assessment and evaluate the risks associated with significant engineering, operational and organizational changes by creating a Safety Assessment Report for CSM-RA compliance. The Safety Assessment Report provided by our AsBo can be presented as proof that all identified hazards and associated risks are recognized and minimized to an acceptable level in your company.
